Adult Instrumental Camps
British Brass Band: July 17 – 20, 2013
Brass instrument players with some experience are welcome. Trumpet players should bring cornets if possible. Horn players should bring traditional brass band instruments, if possible. Trombone parts will be available in bass clef. The ensemble will rehearse and perform traditional British brass band literature. The brass band will perform on the final afternoon for friends and family. The brass band will be directed by Dr. Ken Kroesche.
Saxophone Choir: July 28 – 31, 2013
Average to experienced saxophonists are welcome. The sessions will include rehearsals and individual assistance provided by distinguished Blue Lake Faculty. Campers are encouraged to bring all of their saxophones and ensemble literature. If the number of campers warrant, multiple ensembles will be formed. Quality saxophone ensemble literature will be read, rehearsed, and performed. The saxophone choir(s) will perform on the final afternoon for friends and family. The instructor for the Saxophone Choir will be Dr. Jonathan Nichols.
Trombone/Euphonium Choir: August 11-14, 2013
Average to experienced trombone and euphonium players are welcome. The sessions will include rehearsal and individual assistance provided by distinguished Blue Lake Faculty. Campers are encouraged to bring ensemble literature. If the number of campers warrant, multiple ensembles will be formed. Pre-existing quartets or other small ensembles are welcome. Quality literature will be read, rehearsed and performed. The Trombone/Euphonium Choir, and small ensembles will perform on the final afternoon for friends and family. The instructor for the Trombone/Euphonium Choir will be Dr. Earle Louder.
Clarinet Choir: August 17-20, 2013
Average to experienced clarinetists are welcome. The sessions will include rehearsals and individual assistance provided by distinguished Blue Lake faculty. Bb Clarinet, Alto Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Eb Contra-alto Clarinet, and Bb Contra-bass Clarinets are welcome. Campers are encouraged to bring ensemble literature. If the number of campers warrant, multiple ensembles will be formed. Quality clarinet choir literature will be read, rehearsed and performed. The Clarinet Choir(s) will perform on the final morning for friends and family. The instructor for the Clarinet Choir will be Dr. Raphael Sanders.
