


2011 International Choral Ensemble Dr. Carole Ott, conductor, is an assistant professor of choral music at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before joining the faculty at UNCG, she was Director of Choral Activities at the Residential College of the University of Michigan and director of the Michigan Arts Chorale. Her degrees include a BM in Music Education from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and an MM and DMA from the University of Michigan. At UNCG, Dr. Ott directs the Chorale and teaches undergraduate and graduate conducting as well as graduate seminars in choral music. In addtion, she is the director of the Winston-Salem Symphony Chorale. Ott has appeared as a guest clinician in both Michigan and North Carolina including several summers on faculty at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp. Also an active soloist, Ott has performed both nationally and internationally, including the premier of works by Susan Botti at the American Academy in Rome. This is Dr. Ott’s first tour with the Blue Lake International Choir. |
