Mark Webb, conductor of Blue Lake’s 2008 International Choir, has been a high school choir director for 32 years. Since 1995, he has served as the Director of Choral Activities for the East Grand Rapids Public School System, where he teaches five choirs at the high school, and is the Chair of the Music Department. His high school choirs have been featured performers on numerous occasions at the Michigan Music Educators In-Service Conference, and the Michigan Youth Arts Festival, and have toured in France, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. In 2003, he was recognized as Teacher of the Year by the Michigan School Vocal Music Association, and Arts Educator of the Year by ArtServe of Michigan. Mark is the head of the Choral Department at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and directs the Session II SATB and Chamber Choirs. He has conducted the International Choir in 1983, 1985, and 2004-2007.
