Fritz Stansell, Music Director

Fritz Stansell, Music Director, International Youth Symphony Orchestra, is Founder and President of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.  He earned his Bachelor of Music Degree at Michigan State University, and his Master’s Degree at Purdue University.  He was Band and Orchestra Director at North Muskegon Public Schools (Michigan, U.S.A.) for 6 years, and Orchestra Director at Muskegon High School and Band Director at Muskegon Community College for 2 years before the beginning of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in 1966.  Mr. Stansell has been Music Director for the Blue Lake International Youth Symphony Orchestra for 21 years: 1974, 1975, 1988 through 1998, 2002, and 2004 through 2011.
