5. Conducting
Through group instruction and practice with scores and recordings, students will learn to conduct basic beat patterns, preparations and cutoffs, cues, fermatas, tempo changes, and dynamics. Other activities will include observation of staff or festival ensemble rehearsals. Ability to read treble and bass clefs recommended. This minor is open only to students majoring in music programs.
