31st Annual Suzuki Family Camp
The Suzuki Family Camp is designed as a family experience. Enrollment is open to violin, viola, cello, bass and piano students studying Suzuki literature. The daily schedule will include 3 one-hour classes: a small group lesson with individualized instruction, a larger technique class, and a repertoire review class. Housing in cabins and meals are available on the Blue Lake camp grounds.

String chamber music and orchestra classes are available for students 9 years and older and in violin Bk 5, Viola, Bk 3, Cello Bk 3. Chamber music students have 4 classes daily, private lesson class, repertoire review class, orchestra, and quartet.

New for 2008 is the Young Reader's Orchestra which will help the young students (ages 7-8 in Violin, Bk 3-4, Viola, Bk 2 and Cello, Bk 2) with reading and beginning orchestra literature. Class will meet every day in addition to the regularly scheduled 3 classes.

The daily schedule for piano students includes a small group lesson with individualized instruction, repertoire review class, and either Orff movement or improvisation/theory depending on the age of the student. Piano chamber music is available for students age 9 or older in Bk 3, Kuhlau Sonatina and above. Piano chamber music students have 4 classes daily.

Other activities available to students and families are: daily parent-teacher panels, recitals, fiddling, pre-pre twinkle classes for younger siblings, adult piano lessons, and an adult orchestra session. Other recreational activities include swimming, soccer games, and the Art Barn, a favorite of young and old, where different activities are planned for each hour of the day.
