Additional Activities One of the many reasons that families return year after year to Blue Lake is the Art Barn, a separate building devoted to art activities. Children look forward to the opportunity to delve into art exploration whenever there is a break in their schedule of lessons and practicing. The projects are designed to inspire invention and allow relaxation, where just the right combination of freedom, structure and interesting materials are provided. Students will find 4 or 5 different projects to try each day. (No fee) Afternoon Recital (all sessions) Showcase Fun Night (1st session only) Fiddling (2nd & 3rd sessions only) Parent Orchestra (2nd & 3rd sessions only) Pre-pre Twinkle Class is an early childhood music and movement class offered to children ages 2-6 who would enjoy creative movement, singing, and playing simple instruments. Each class will be one hour long, one class each day; a caregiver or parent must accompany the child to the class. ($40 fee) Beginning Piano for Adults will be offered for adults who wish to learn piano, or for someone who wishes to improve their elementary skills. Techniques for playing and basic note reading will be explored. This class is offered all three sessions. |
